1️⃣ Don’t Use Black Shadows
Don’t use black shadows in illustration, unless it’s a black & white one. Black shadows with opacity look faded. For better result use Multiply mode and play with opacity percents to find a perfect shadow. ✏️
2️⃣ Composition Matters.
Composition matters! So use black silhouettes to check if it works. ⭐️
3️⃣ Let the Canvas “Breathe.”
On the top of the canvas should me more free place than on the bottom of it, because it is more convenient for the human eye.
4️⃣ Color Palette Limit
3-4 main colors are amazing for illustration. Try to limit it and don’t use all colors of the rainbow . And always try different variations of colors in little thumbnails. ✨
5️⃣ ALWAYS Create a New Layer
⭐️ Always and ALWAYS remember to create a new layer in Photoshop. That’s what i forget every time and start to draw right on the background and then when i discover i’m like “oh, no please”. LOL
